Description
A washed slate blue, somewhere between denim and storm. The set that looks least like a set when you split it up.
Oversized tee, relaxed short, both faded in the same wash so the tones sit right next to each other.
Garment-washing is done after the pieces are sewn, not to the fabric before cutting. That is why a set faded together sits right and two pieces bought separately never quite do: the tone lands the same on both halves, seams included, because they went through the same bath at the same time.
Cool wash, low heat. A washed blue has already given up its loose dye in the factory, so it moves less than a raw colour would, but hot water still pushes the fade further than intended.
